Payment Methods We accept credit cards with the Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover logo on them. *NEW* We also accept Interac e-Transfer and are in the beginning stages of accepting PayPal (Select "Email Money Transfer" for these options). We also accept payment in store for items being picked up in store. In store we also accept cash, Interac Debit, UnionPay, and JCB. We may ask for supplementary information to verify your identity, and reserve the right to cancel an order if we believe it may be fraudulent. Orders for in-store pickup to be paid for in store or by e-Transfer will only have their prices guaranteed for 24 hours, and all orders must be paid for within 5 days.
Note: our Interac e-Transfer account is set up for Autodeposit. If your bank does not support autodeposit please put the answer to the security question in the notes.

Sales Tax By law, we are required to collect HST on sales to "participating" provinces (ON: 13%, NB, NS, PE, NL: 15%), and GST to "non-participating" provinces and territories (QC, MB, SK, AB, BC, YT, NT, NU: 5%), on virtually all items we sell. Books are eligible for a point-of-sale rebate, for the provincial portion of HST charged in "participating" provinces. This is applied in the form of a promo code. Customers in "non-participating" provinces are responsible for their own PST/QST obligations with their respective province's Ministry of Finance, and International Customers are responsible for any duties or sales taxes they may be required to pay. Check local laws. Exemptions Ontario Residents that have a Certificate of Indian Status card are entitled to a rebate of the Ontario portion of the HST, but that may only be applied at point of sale on purchases initiated in store. Also, customers trading to the store, in store, with the express and immediate purpose of buying other items at the same time, shall have the value of the trade-in (including the 25% trade bonus) deducted from the purchase price of the sale *before* tax. (Ex. Selling a card with a buylist price of $10 would yield a $12.50 discount on an immediate sale of $13, and HST would only be payable on $0.50.)

Shipping Policy All orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days following their successful payment and shipped with Canada Post according to the shipping method the client has selected. We are not responsible for lost packages. The option for expedited shipping is available upon checkout, which includes tracking information, and up to a certain amount of Insurance Coverage (see below). If applicable, we reserve the right to upgrade shipping at no additional cost. Orders containing items that are not TCG Singles may not be shipped with a method that is designated only for TCG Singles. Note: Star Wars Destiny singles are counted as TCG Singles, but cards with dice may be subject to additional charges, and orders with large quantities of cards with dice will require tracking.

Free upgrade to tracking! For orders using the "TCG Singles Only" Shipping Methods, if the order is over a certain amount, you will receive an upgrade to a tracked shipping method.

We will apply this upgrade manually, and you will receive confirmation of this when we provide the tracking information at time of shipping.

Pickup Policy We offer the option to pickup items in store, or at an event we may be hosting or vending at. Orders to be picked up in store will be ready within one (1) business day of the order being placed, although you will not receive an email when the order is ready. In-Store Pickup orders may be picked up at any time during normal store hours. Orders being picked up at an event may be placed by the cutoff time listed in that delivery method, and can be picked up from our booth at that event during that event's hours. We require a piece of Photo ID for all pickup orders, and we reserve the right to decline the option for a proxy to pick up an order on your behalf.

Rewards Program We have an in-store rewards program offered through our mobile app. Orders placed online will only be eligible to earn rewards when the order is paid for in store, and orders paid for with Store Credit will not be eligible to earn rewards.

Event Registration We offer preregistration for many of our larger events. If you are placing an order containing only event registration, you will receive a "Shipped" email when we have transferred your registration information to the files for that event. We request that you provide any supplemental details, such as the membership number for the game you are playing (if applicable), in a note added to the order at checkout. We may contact you if we need any supplemental info. You are required to follow all rules of the game you are playing, and may not participate if you are otherwise not eligible.

Store Credit Policy Customers may receive, or be awarded, Store Credit, either as payment for items sold to us, as prizes from a tournament, as a gift or transfer from another customer, or as part of a promotion. Store Credit may be used to purchase items in store or online. Store Credit in a customer's account may NOT be converted to cash under any circumstances. In addition, Store Credit may not be used for items that are discounted by a promo code, or a storewide sale.

Preorder Policy We offer preorders on most items we sell. Orders containing preorders will not ship, or be available for pickup, until ALL items in the order are available. Release Dates are subject to change, and we cannot be held responsible for manufacturer or distributor delays. If you wish to cancel a preorder, you may do so by contacting us. We will credit the return to your original method of payment, less a 10% restocking fee. Preorders may not be cancelled within seven (7) days of release. All preorders must be paid in full to be guaranteed.

Early Release Policy
 Some products (such as Magic: the Gathering Booster Boxes) may have an early release period. While our website will have the normal release date listed, we will honour the early release period in accordance with any applicable distributor or manufacturer terms, and such terms will be at the top of the description of the products themselves. In addition, any promotional materials given with the purchase of some products (e.g. Buy-A-Box Promos) will also be distributed in accordance with their terms, and will also be featured at the top of the product description.

Return Policy You may return most new, unopened items sold and fulfilled by Hairy Tarantula within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect item, etc.). Please contact us first before returning an item. We do not accept returns on anything that appears to be opened or worn. If there is a manufacturing defect, please contact the manufacturer directly (we can help you locate their contact info if needed). Due to the constantly changing price of singles, we do not accept returns on TCG Singles.

Refunds Refunds are requested after we receive and process your return. You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (see below for specific guidelines). We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
